Shiloh Ranch

Shiloh Ranch

Arkansas Valley Series - #5

A Brief Description:

Along with the deaths of Arthur Rhodes and his henchmen, comes a time of security and well-being to the Arkansas Valley in general and The Bartlett in particular, that has now been renamed Shiloh.

As Clint and Sue embark on a rewarding and fruitful life together as husband and wife, and are quickly blessed with two wonderful but mischievous children, Chad and Rebecca.

With the railroad continuing to draw ever closer to becoming a reality, old wounds are reopened as a result of the greed of a man named Heywood Jensen, who will stop at nothing to gain complete control of the ranch. As proof of that, he hires on a handful of gunfighters who are not only a very real threat to Clint, Jimmy, and Two Buffalos, but one of them has his own personal grudge to settle with Clint.

A Few Reader Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars: Love the whole series.

This is a very well written series of stories. The author moves the story line forward from each book so that you want to know what happens. The characters are interesting and fully rounded. The historical elements seem to be in line. I enjoy reading about the life and struggles of this area and especially of a horse ranch. The other thing I like about these books is that the main characters suffer and sometimes die which makes the story less predictable. The Christianity woven throughout the books isn't preachy but is truly part of the story and part of the characters. With the dangerous and frightening lives these people lived they turned to God for comfort and strength.

4 out of 5 stars: Good Reading

I thoroughly enjoy reading r. William Rogers' writing. The plot in this little book is quite good and Rogers sows a good job of I keeping you up to date with all the characters. It's not often you can find someone who can weave a good story around a good plot and keep it clean and interesting. Great job rWR.

5 out of 5 stars: Each book produces a new story - not at all repetitive.

Great Book as all the books in this series have been. Each Book is a different story; yet follows the same family from book to book.
This is a Christian Author; however the book is not preachy; but most of the characters are Born Again Christians. I think this author produces a great series of books; uplifting story lines; great development of characters. And the books are inexpensive and can be loaned!!! What more can you ask?

4 out of 5 stars: Another page turner

By Rons Will - on January 22, 2014

What a blessing to read about family values and morals and still have such exciting plots. I appreciate the lack of vulgar language and graphic sexual content that today's authors feel like they need to appeal to their audiences to sell their junk. Seems like John " Revolting" and the Hollywood crowd saw how that type of smut sold (pulp fiction) and now it is stinking up films and. T. V. Looking forward to #6,

5 out of 5 stars: Change is great!

I like the new beginning for Sue. She deserves the new life! Like how everyone works together and makes things happen. Sorry to see more of the same old same. Get a new idea. Things can change up a little. Years have passed and then there is 2 children. I guess that really doesn't matter. I like info and like to see how it all turns out. Almost done with this one...

5 out of 5 stars: Good Christian series

I am really enjoying this series. The books have a good Christian value to them and an all over good ethical tone to them that is missing in most books.  I don't normally like historical or western books but these are worth reading.

This is possibly the best book in the series. It FILLED with action, and it is fast paced. Two buffalos is DELIGHTFUL. CHRISTIAN VALUES and worship make the story even more meaningful. This was so good that I had to order the next BOOK before I could write the review.

5 out of 5 stars: A favorite in the series.

Loved this book also, this author really does go the extra mile, at least in this series of books. The way each book follows from one generation to the next, makes it really nice. Shiloh made me tear up at one point! Guess I'm just an old softie.
