Kindled Faith

Arkansas Valley Series - #7

A Brief Description:

In this, the final book in the Arkansas Valley Series, Chad comes to realize the very real benefits of answered prayer after he, his sister, Becky, and their long-time friend, Nate, are taken from their families and held for ransom.

It is during the course of their harrowing ordeal, that Chad realizes some of the essential ingredients that have been keeping him from completely embracing the Lord. It is because of this that his faith is eventually rekindled and he is drawn back into God's grace.

Somewhat troubled by all this, but armed with the abiding love and encouragement from his beloved sister, Becky, he surrenders to the inevitable and accepts his calling to become another of God's servants.

Pastor Chad Blackman's continued adventures can be followed in the pages of: the Cripple Creek Mining District Series, where he establishes and Pastors the first ever church to lay claim to the interior of an extinct volcano that lies a bit southwest of majestic Pikes Peak.

A Few Reader Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars: Kindled Faith

Kindled Faith had the adventure that the others had in the Arkansas Valley Series.Rogers does thorough research and describes nature in a captivating way. Harsh things happen, and he includes it without detailed gore. I always enjoy his desciptions of the interesting relationships between people. This book went deeper in understanding how God involves HIMSELF in our daily life and trials. I liked the realistic approach to that understanding as well as the fact that the main character had to struggle with it bringing out revelation that we all need to apply to our lives. Decided to buy his Cripple Creek Mining District series after reading this one.

5 out of 5 stars: Good Book - Good Series - Great Author!!!

I very much enjoyed this series. The 1st book took the family by wagon train to their destination - each book thereafter was a different story but continued the life of the main characters down to the last book - If you like Historical Fiction; you will enjoy this series and probley most anything written by this author. I found no negatives - the stories of each book in the series was different; the characters were well developed; the author is a very good author; and the price of each book is good and you can loan it to a friend. Can't beat no negatives!!!

I have read many, many pioneer historical romance books and, yes, even many series. I purchased this series 3 at a time so I could just go straight from one to the next. I am now going to start the next series and see how Chad Blackman does with his preaching. I will continue to read this writer's books, they are great!

I recently received my kindle and to try it out I ordered the first book of this series. I believe it was free. After that first book I was hooked on these stories. Being a preacher myself, I felt a kinship to people in the stories and appreciated the author, Mr Rogers.

Enjoyed the way it was written. Good discription, colorful characters. Would enjoy other books by Rogers. Recommend it highly, was appreciative of the Faith that it seems everyone depended on, and the personal relation that they had in Jesus.
